Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I register?

To register, you can just click on Register Now, and you will be redirected to the registration page. All you need to do is fill in the required information and confirm that you are above 18 in order to play on PyraBid.

  • How can I change my personal details?

You first need to log into your account and then click on My Profile section to edit what you want.

  • If I want to play, do I need to register?

To have access to the auctions, you will need to have an account with us to buy credits in order to be able to place a bid. This will also enable you to see where you stand on the PyraBoard.

  • How do auctions work on Pyrabid?

You first need to choose which ongoing auction you are interested in. Once you have chosen, you can use your credits to place a bid. Now, remember that your bid needs to be comprised between £1 and the maximum bidding price given, and that no one else should have bidded on the same amount as you. Otherwise your bid will be struck out. Once you have placed your bid, check on the PyraBoard where you are in the competition.

  • How can I buy bids?

It is very simple. Once you have registered with PyraBid, just go to your account settings in Purchase Credits and then select one of our 4 credit packages.

  • I have purchased a credit package with my account, and I was given free bids. What does it mean?

Customers can be awarded free bids according to the credit package they purchase. They are added into your account and to the number of bids you bought. A free bid has no monetary value and can be used on any auction regardless of the bid cost.

  • How do I place a bid?

Nothing simpler than that. Once you have logged in and that you are on the product you want to bid for, click on Bid Now and enter the amount you have chosen. Remember to consult our Bidding Rules if you are bidding for the first time to understand how it works.

  • What does “bid cost” mean?

Bids’ value vary according to every auction. It corresponds to the participation fee to place a bid on the auction.

  • What does “bids left” mean?

On each auction, the number of bids left is indicated. It means that the auction will not be closed until that number has not reached 0.

  • What is the timer for?

The clock is there to indicate when the auction is likely to close. However, if the number of remaining bids has not reached 0 yet, then the clock will restart.

  • How do I know where I stand in the auction for which I placed a bid?

Thanks to our bidding board called PyraBoard, you will be able to see who is in the leading position. You can access the board on the auction page.

  • How many bids can I place on one auction?

You can place as many bids as you want on any given auction. However, you are allowed to have only 5 consecutive bids, and any additional bid will be struck out. For example, if you place a bid of £14.53 and you want to protect that bid, you can only chose 2 more consecutive bids, i.e. £14.54 and £14.55.

  • By mistake, I entered the same bid amount twice. Will I be charged for it?

Do not worry. Your first bid will not be struck out, and you will not be charged for your second bid.

  • What happens if someone places the same bid amount as me?

Unfortunately, this means that your bid will be struck out as for that player too. If you want to stay in the competition, you need to place another bid, according to your precedent position in the leader board.

  • How will I know when the auction is closing?

When the auction is about to close, you will be sent a message informing you that the closing time is approaching and there will be a flashing sign on that auction saying "Closing Soon". It will give you a chance to keep your place in the auction.

  • The clock ran out of time, and my bid was first on the leader board, does it mean that I have won?

If your bid is first on the PyraBoard at the time the clock reaches 0, but the number of bids has not reached 0 yet, then you have not won yet. However, in order to reward your bid, you will be given 15 free bids to use on any auction of your choice.

  • How do I know if I have won?

Keep an eye on the PyraBoard to check that you are on the leading position. Once the auction the number of remaining bids has reached 0 and the clock has reached 0, then only the auction will close. If you arrive first at that time, then you will be notified via email that you have won.

  • I have finished all my credits, now what do I do?

Once all your credits have been used, you can buy more in the Purchase Credits section of your account. Select the package that you wish to purchase and your account will be credited with bids accordingly.

  • I have won a product, what happens next?

First of all, congratulations! • Someone placed the same bid as I have, so what can I do now?

That means that your bid is struck out as in order to win, it needs to be unique. But don’t worry, you can place another bid keeping in mind the bidding rules.

How it works

How it works
  •   not unique
  •   lowest unique bid winner
  •   unique but not lowest

PyraBid's auctions combine skills and fun to win brand new luxury products at a very cheap price. At the end of the auction, the person who has placed the lowest unique bid, which is the lowest number with only one bid on it, wins the auction at that price only.
